Ken Block (born November 21, 1967, in Long Beach, California) is one of the co-founders and recently appointed Chief Brand Officer of DC Shoes. Block has competed in many action sports events including skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross, and most notably rally racing.
Ken Block co-founded DC Shoes with Damon Way in 1994. They started DC Shoes as a small company creating athletic shoes for skateboarders. Ken Block believed that as with other athletes, skateboarders needed special shoes to compete at high levels. Block and Way began to market these shoes and the business began to grow in the action sports world. In May 2004, DC Shoes was acquired by Quiksilver Inc. This transaction made the company part of a $2 billion action sports family. Today, DC Shoes is known for its wide variety of action sports gear including shoes and other apparel. To market these products Ken Block and other DC Shoes associates have signed a world class list of action sports athletes to market, develop signature lines, and enhance DC Shoes’ ever growing business.

On the heels of Ken Blocks insane Gymkhana videos and the groundbreaking snowboarding/rally part to close out DCs MTN.LAB 1.5 video, the DC Co-Founder and Rally Team Driver has joined with Subaru to make the worlds fastest cat track operation automobile for backcountry access for snowboarding. Dubbed the TRAX STI, this is a new teaser video from the test session for the highly-modified, snow-ready (to say the least) car. Full specs and the full story at dcshoes.com/auto.
If the point of driving a supercar is to be seen to best advantage, then the owners of these camouflaged ultimate automobiles are doing it wrong. Then again, “stealth” is a relative term – and one of the best ways to stand out from the crowd is to blend right in.
When the final case design of the Playstation 3 was released, it was widely critsised as looking exactly like a George Foreman Grill … we decided this would be a great project and challenge to actually build the Real PS3 Grill.”
